About Sharon Matisoff

Sharon Matisoff was raised in Southern California and now resides in Louisville, Kentucky.  Her pastel and oil paintings are created in the realist tradition with an Impressionistic approach to color.  She studied oil painting under the late Richard Bunkall at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California and Chinese Master Artist Shuquiao Zhou in Los Angeles, California.  Her greatest artistic influences include Mary Cassatt, Joaquin Sorolla, and John Singer Sargent, among others.
